I bought my first SUM in December 2004 and wore it at events at Rayburn and Toledo Bend in the 2005 season, while fishing BassChamps.com East Teams, and ESPN Bassmaster Weekend Series. It not only "saved my phace", but it turned alot of "hedz" also. This is the "NO BS" solution to a long standing problem, and you can bet I'll continue to wear mine .
Jerry Wright is the inventor of the SUM and the owner of the SavePhace Corporation. Jerry is a tournament angler and invented the mask to answer the problem all tournament anglers have, covering and protecting your face at high speed without loosing your vision. Jerry has demanded perfection from the lenses and has military grade, optically perfect lenses that are interchangeable, absolutely will not fog up, repel rain, deflect objects and can be wiped clean with out special care.
I want to tell you how practical and needed my SUM is. It is very easy to take on and off, takes about three seconds and easily fits over my prescription glasses even when I have my Cocoons on over them. The rain drops bead up and roll off of the lens without distorting my vision when I?m running down the lake, and the mask protects my face from the friction and temperature extremes of the wind, whether it is cold or hot. Forget a heavy motorcycle helmet, the SUM is extremely light at about half of a pound, but I can turn my head at 75 mph without the wind trying to lift the mask from my face.
The sounds of the bugs and rain hitting the mask make me glad that they aren't hitting me in the face. Have you ever been caught in a hail storm? The lens wraps around to the side of the mask enabling full peripheral vision. The mask is made out of semi-flexible plastic that make it practically indestructible, floats, and comes in some great colors and patterns.
I will wear mine every time I go to the lake, hot or cold, and I will tell anyone who will listen how much I like it and let them test my spare. Catch me at the lake in my solid white TR21 (the guy with the cool looking white mask), and I'll take you for a ride and you can try one for yourself.
When you get one, please be sure to tell the person taking your order (if it's not me) that what I told you about the mask helped you make the move. Also mention my name along with code number 31-123, and you'll get your choice of a hat or mask lens for $7.95 S/H, with your mask order.
